NEMAHC Officers and Delegates will be holding a meeting on Wednesday, October 21 beginning at 6p.m. to be held at the lower level of the HPC Credit Union. The 2009 show season, upcoming banquet and year end awards will be discussed. This meeting is for NEMAHC officers and club delegates only. More information for the banquet will be provided at a later date.

Our "Just For Fun" Show on June 6th was a huge success! Thank you to all who attended and joined in the very long, but well worth it day. We certainly did not expect but certainly welcomed a huge turnout. The Alpena Optimist Acres is proving to be a very nice location for shows. There is plenty of parking, a beautiful, large arena, access to bathrooms and situated away from roads and traffic.
Our very first Cowboy Challenge Class had 17 entries! Wayne Suszek was our winning rider on his pretty gray mare Shadow. We added a dog show to our day and four adorable canines were entered. This is something we would like to add to future showbills.

If you are a trail rider then joining the Alpena Horsemen's Club is a great chance to ride with others who have a similiar passion for trails! They have a number of trail rides planned this year in the Pigeon River area.
Dates scheduled are Memorial Day weekend, Thursday May 21 through Sunday May 25. On Saturday May 23 their annual potluck dinner will be held before dark.Open to all! Come and visit, sit around a campfire and share stories.
