N.E.M.A.H.C. Northeastern Michigan Association of Horse Clubs
Welcome to our site!
NEMAHC is an association that includes members interested in horsemanship and riding as a recreational activity. Our sole purpose is to promote, create and stimulate interest in horses as a whole. We offer open horse shows for all breeds of horses and ponies in the Northeastern Michigan area throughout the summer. As a non-profit organization, we can assist area horse clubs wishing to sponsor a point-approved show. Our club also includes members who trail ride and are involved in our Trail Riding/Driving Program. Whether you like to show pleasure, run barrels, or trail ride around Northeast Michigan, we think you will find our club quite accomodating to your equine enthusiasm! Please take a view of our site and see what we have to offer!

NEMAHC Trail Riding/Driving Program (TR/D)
Become a NEMAHC member and hit the trails! NEMAHC members and their horses can compete for year-end and certificate of merit (COM) awards while they trail ride. Members ride or drive their horses in harness on the trails and record their hours and trail locations. At the end of the season, the member submits his/her trail record to the TR/D secretary. Every hour on the trails equals 1 point. The TR/D secretary tallies up all the points and awards are presented at the annual awards banquet to the adult grand champion and reserve grand champion, youth grand and reserve champion and the grand and reserve champion for the trail adult and youth horse of the year. Trail points also accumulate from year to year toward the rider's COM and the horse's COM. If this sounds like fun to you, complete a NEMAHC membership form and start riding! If you have questions concerning the TR/D program please contact Lori Koneke at 989-590-0118
